Albany Filmmaker’s Showcase is a free (no cost to enter), fun, and noncompetitive category for people of any age who are residents of Albany, California. You do NOT have to have filmmaking experience to enter this category -- just the desire to be part of the celebration of film in Albany, share your story with your friends and neighbors, or just see your creation on the big screen* and bask in the glory.

In 2016, Linda Reeves and the Reeves-McCrory family (of Albany!) received the Albany Community Media Access Committee’s first-ever Albany Spirit Award for their only-in-Albany film Bones and Skins. As Linda says, “Participating in the Albany Film Festival was one of the most fun things our family has done.”

*Due to time constraints, submitted films are not guaranteed to be screened.
