See the year out with this powerful and beautiful documentary about Haditz, the last female bee-hunter in Europe, who must save the bees and return the natural balance when a family of nomadic beekeepers invade her land and threaten her livelihood.
Fresh Air reviewer John Powers says that Haditz “embodies a sane, respectful and engaged way of living with nature. She knows that if you want honey, you must find a way of living in harmony with the bees that create it. If you don't, you will be very badly stung.”
WInner of 21 international awards, including the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.
A co-presentation of Albany FilmFest, the Albany Library, and Friends of the Albany Library.
